Today we will discuss the art of combining different styles in interior design. After all, each design bears the mark of its time, creating a unique space that reflects our individuality. Let’s try to combine different design styles in one space, imagining a small multi-level house with several rooms.

Let’s start with the kitchen — a place where gastronomic masterpieces are created and the whole family gathers. Here we will embody Italian colour, creating a feeling of travelling back in time. Rough, aged brick walls will serve as a backdrop for natural walnut furniture, while a noble marble countertop will add elegance and a feeling of history. Copper tableware will complete the picture, filling the interior with warmth and comfort. Terracotta floors will create the illusion of walking through the streets of Ancient Rome, and a large panoramic window will fill the space with light and air. Such an atmosphere will be the perfect place for inspiration and relaxation.

Moving on to the living area, we turn to Scandinavian minimalism, which prioritises comfort and functionality. Retaining the roughness of the brick walls as a decorative element, we paint the remaining surfaces in light colours — white or cream — visually expanding the space. The centrepiece is a simple sofa made of natural fabrics, surrounded by a minimal number of accessories. Accents are provided by a light brown leather armchair, an oval wooden coffee table and a woollen pile rug. Asymmetrical lamps add dynamism, emphasising the geometry of the space.

Let’s pay special attention to the design of the bathroom located in the attic. The loft style dominates here, characterised by its industrialism and freedom. Massive wooden beams emphasise the height of the room, and the bathtub is hidden by frosted glass partitions. The floor is laid with large grey tiles, complementing the overall look. Natural light is combined with spot lighting, highlighting the washbasin areas. The centrepiece is a vertical shower with a massage function, providing relaxation and pleasure. The wooden-finished sink fits harmoniously into the overall concept, supporting the idea of natural harmony.

This synthesis of styles allows each space to reveal its uniqueness while maintaining the overall mood of the home and creating a harmonious living environment.

indeed a combination of style might reflect the different needs one might have on a different moments of the day. Different needs same person. Never is black nor is white just a mixture of spaces with singular different character. An atmosphere of wellbeing with surroundings, with oneself.
